Constituent Lists subscription  Index and ETF Sponsor Provided Data Included In the Datafile Downloads 

As of October, 2009, we collect data from 24 index and ETF sponsors for both U.S. and international indexes and ETFs.   By far, however, the nine ETF sponsors included in the table below provide the substantial majority of the composites currently followed by MasterDATA.  The table below lists the the data values in our downloadable constituent list datafiles.  The specific values provided by the major sponsors are indicated.

Field Definitions

The values provided in our downloadable datafile are based upon data provided by the sponsor.  Fields extrapolated from the provided sponsor data are clearly indicated.
Sponsor Name of index or ETF sponsor
Composite Ticker Ticker symbol of index or ETF.  Tickers with the initial characters "^" or "$" are indexes.

Constituent Ticker Ticker symbol of index or ETF constituent
Constituent Name      Name of index or ETF constituent
Weighting The percentage the constituent represents of the index or ETF total value
idNumber The ISIN or CUSIP of the issue
Date The date of the data received from the sponsor website - as stated by the sponsor only
Location Country of the constituent as stated by the sponsor
Exchange The exchange upon which the constituent trades.  Many issues trade on more than one exchange and in more than one country.  This identifies which country (exchange) the sponsor states is used for a particular constituent.
Total Shares Held The total number of shares held of this particular constituent by the index or ETF
Share Amount The number of shares held per creation unit of this particular constituent
Market Value The current market value of shares held of this particular constituent by the index or ETF
Sector The constituent issue's sector as stated by the index or ETF sponsor
Exchange Rate The exchange rate applicable to the constituent market value
New Shares Van Eck is the only sponsor to potentially use this category.  They have not yet, but, if and when they do, the value will be here.
Calculated Fields All values below are calculated values based upon data supplied by the sponsor and matched with data from another source
Bloomberg The is the country (exchange) identifier used when retrieving data from Bloomberg based upon the exchange supplied by the sponsor.  For instance, in the ETF, iShares MSCI EAFE Small Cap (SCZ), two symbols are listed using the same ticker, BEN.  In Bloomberg these two symbols can be differentiated using the country identifiers.  So one symbol would be BEN:FP, Beneteau SA BEN:FP (Industry: Leisure&Rec Products) and the other BEN:IM, Benetton Group SpA  (Industry: Apparel Manufacturers).  For a listing of all currently utilized Bloomberg identifiers, please click here or click on the "Bloomberg" link in the green navigation bar at the top of this page.

These identifiers can only be calculated if the sponsor supplies the exchange on which the constituent within the index or ETF trades.  We are asking all sponsors to include this information in the future.
Reuters Similar to the Bloomberg identifier above, this will be a calculated field.
Interactive Similar to the Bloomberg identifier above, this will be a calculated field.
FV1 Future value so we don't upset your IT department any more than necessary.
FV2 Future value so we don't upset your IT department any more than necessary.
